On Monday morning , Nov 29,2010 a young women was robbed in her car on Barnum Ave around AM. According to the victims mother her daughter was driving down Barnum Ave to go to work in Stonybrook when she was stopped by a women with flyers who told her her dog had run away and if she saw the dog asked her to contact her. While they were talking an unknown male wearing a balaclava ( face mask) to protect his identity opened the passenger door and grabbed her hand bag when she resisted the unknown assailant struck her and grabbed the victims bag. Suffolk County Police and PJ Code Enforcement were notified.

That just horrible..I am starting to see a trend in our beloved Village when it comes to these types of crimes. Hope they catch the “Bean”heads who did this.
Why would they notify the Port Jefferson Code Enforcement? That would be like getting robbed and notifying the SCPD and the Suffolk County Department of Public Works, just so they are aware.
