Tumi, a Peruvian import Boutique in Port Jeff is expanding! On Mothers day, shoppers got a sneak preview of the new Tumi Boutique which has taken over the store next door which was called Not to Shabby. According to John Cotter renovations will be completed in the next few weeks. When the expansion is completed, Tumi will be one of the largest boutiques in Port Jeff with over 2000 sq. Over the years, Tumi has built a great reputation with it clients with a unique collection of quality imported women, men’s and children’s clothing. Tumi is also known for a large selection of inexpensive as well as fine jewelry as well as a large variety of kind handmade gifts, children’s toys, Peruvian pottery and houseware items
John told me ” We wanted to expand because we want to display our merchandise in a more appealing fashion and let our customers actually see what we have.” Workers have been busy intalling and building new displays, painting and stocking the shelves. Tumi now has 4 large dressing rooms because as Mr Cotter knows ” Our customers like to try a lot of things on and they don’t like to wait”
Both stores will be joined by two arch ways which will allow easy access through out the store and will allow more merchandise to be displayed in a more appealing fashion. Tumi has been busy importing new merchandise and has expanded the stores, premier, hand made line - Senora Caballero. The Senora Caballero line features Tanguis Cotton. The Tanguis cotton used in the collection is a 100% prima cotton blend, bred for the dry climate of Peru. Organically grown, Tanquis cotton has never been bleached. It’s unusually long fibers produces a fabric that is strong, soft, absorbent, breathable and will never fade.
John Cotter invites you to come in see for your self the wonders of Peru. Tumi is open 7 days a week and will be open as the expansion continues.
