The Port Jefferson Economic Development Council has just announce it will sponsor a “Spooktackula” Harvest Festival on Saturday Octuber 23, 2010 in Port Jeff. From the look of it, there will be loots to do. Should be a great day for young and old! Information and registration for the day events will be in front of The Village Way Restaurant. This is the information we have so far.
Event Schedule for Spooktackula from 1:00PM till 4:00pm
- Trick or Treat & Live music through out the Village
- Marshmallow roast- Chandler Square- Main Street
- Haunted Building Tour- registration required Chandler Square
- Photos with Characters- Courtesy of Darkside Productions-in Chandler Square area
- Chowder Contest between particpating restaurants. Register in front of the Village Way. (Pick Up Mug $5.00 with registration)
- Pumpkin decorating & fun at the Village Center (West Broadway)
- Hay Ride behind Harbor Square Mall
- Face Painting at PJ Free Library (100 Thompson St & E. Main Street
- Meet & hear Edgar Allen Poe at The PJ Free Library
Events on East Main Street & PJ Village
- Scare Crow Display – all Day on E Main St
- 2:00pm Costume Dog Parade – E Main St
- 3:00pm Craft Event at PJ Free Library
- 4:00pm Watch Pie Eating Contest – 214 E Main Street
- 6:15pm Outdoor Movies: Bugs Bunny Halloween Cartoon followed by Frankenstein Movie at the Village Center on West Broadway
- 8:00pm Dracula The Musical at Theater Three on Main Street
About time.Great to see something being done.The merchants and workers all need a nice busy fall weekend.Now just stop the metered parking and bring back The American Music Festival.
