The HMS Bounty and the band of Here’s To Us pirates will not be in Port Jeff this N0v 6th as previously planned. It seems the HMS Bounty is in dry dock getting some serious repairs and will not make it Nov 6th. According to event organizer , Jerry Parisi the ship may make it back to Port Jefferson by the end of November.
Mr Parisi is cautiously optimistic that the ship may be able to sail into Port Jefferson harbor on the weekend of Nov 27 – see video below. If this happens this will definitely add some additional excitement in Port Jeff for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the annual “Santa coming to Town” Parade down Main Street and the Chamber tree lighting ceremony that day. Santa meets the Pirates, now that could be an interesting parade!
Me4PortJeff.com will post additional information about the HMS Bounty and future pirate event info as it becomes available. Stay informed and subsribe to our free RSS feeds or Register with Me4Port for additional info!

Thanks for the update!! I would have never have known!!
Bad luck for us. I do hope the ship is ready for 11/27!! It looks like such a fun day.
Not shocked. That Parisi guy looks like a Tony Soprano wanna be skulking around town. All I can say to all you store owners be careful. The only thing that guy is interested in is promoting himself.. If the ship by some miracle dose come in. He should be the first one to walk the plank.
Jerry is a good guy with lots of ideas. But instead of Jerry walking the plank- I think the Port Jeff Parking committee should have a meeting on the HMS Bounty! After the meeting and an appropriate letter from the mayor – How about using the meters to make a coral reef out in the sound. Great tourist attraction
I was looking forward to this family event. I can’t believed they canceled ! All i know is that coming 11/27 somebody better be walking the plank.
Terrific work! This is the type of information that should be shared around the web. Shame on the search engines for not positioning this post higher!
