Hungry? Need free access to the the Internet? eat Piada in Port Jefferson has you covered. The other day I stopped by for a quick lunch. While I was waiting for my Poached Salmon Florentine piata I linked up my phone to the free Optimum hot spot available at Eat Piada. This was really cool because I was down to the last 10% on my limited ATT Data plan!
Even if they didn’t have free WiFi, (hot spot) you have to to check out eat Piada located at 104 Main St and Chandler Square. Eat Piada is making a name for itself as Port Jeff’s friendliest, casual gourmet eatery. FYI if you are looking for their cold spot, it’s in front of the register. So back to the Poached Salmon Florentine piada. For those who are not familiar, as far as i can see, a piada is the Italian version of the Mexican burrito. This piada was stuffed with perfectly poached, salmon, baby spinach, cucumber, feta, capers and a lemon, garlic olive oil dressing! Not bad, a great lunch and free Internet!
Not sure what to order? Ask Stephane, he is always helpful and enjoys describing the different piadas available on the menu ( they have over 12 different ones to chose from). Not to worry, they are all good and if you are counting calories you can also have your piada served over a salad! Biggest problem for me is to make sure I save room for their homemade desserts. My favorite desert is the chocolate dipped canoli. Always fresh and always good. Next time you need free WiFi and you want something different think EatPiada !
