Over 85 pastels, oils and drawings by celebrated local artist Frances Campani are now on display at the Port Jefferson Village Center through April 26. Campani’s retrospective exhibit spands over 3 decades. Her images explore the still life and human form while engaing her audience with color, shadow, emotion and imagination.
Francis Campani is currently Associate Professor of Architecture at the New York Institute of Technology at the Old Westbury Campus. Campani is a long time resident of Port Jefferson. Campani’s has exhibited internationally. In September 2010, she received the “Art du Pastel en France” award from the Pastel Society of America.
A reception will be held for the artist on Sunday, April 10 between 4 to 7 pm at Port Jefferson Village Center. Refreshments will be served.
